Uncle Iroh

Iroh is my second favorite character.

General Iroh, or the Dragon Of The West, was the eldest son of Fire Lord Azulon, and the older brother of Prince Ozai. He fought in the Hundred Years War, and became to first of two people to ever bring down the walls of Ba Sing Se. After six hundred days of siege, the city fell. But in the struggle, Iroh's son died. He was so grieved that he returned home, thus losing the city. Ozai, during an audience with his venerable father, suggested Azulon recall Iroh's birthright and grant it upon himself. That night, Azulon "passed away" and it was declared that his dying wish was that Ozai be made Fire Lord.

Iroh was a man of great wisdom and spiritual judgement. He was known to be a dragon slayer, and was said to have killed the last two dragons, but he lied to protect them from other hunters. Iroh was one of the only people capable of producing lightning. A man of wise words, he holds a love a tea so great that only my mother's could rival it.
